Erin has worked as a freelance writer and photographer full-time since 2015. With over 30 publications featuring her work, some highlights include Wild Sam, Condé Nast Traveler, Southern Living, Garden & Gun, Mississippi Magazine, Edible Memphis, Teen Vogue, Alternative Press, Los Angeles Times, Uppercase, Bake from Scratch, Good Grit Magazine, Esquire, Bitter Southerner, Liquor.com, Imbibe, and Bon Appétit. She's a regular contributor to Yahoo!.

Erin is the author of How to Make It, Family Field Trip, and Small Town Living. In addition, she contributed to the books Paris by Design, Wild Sam Oxford edition, and Truth, Love, & Clean Cutlery. She was also a writer for the blog Design*Sponge from 2016 to 2019, which is now archived by the Library of Congress. Erin's fourth book, titled Waterfront Living, is scheduled for release in spring 2026 by Running Press.

She has collaborated with numerous tourism boards to craft travel stories for her own Substack and Yahoo! columns, as well as for use on their respective tourism websites. Erin, based in the South, writes about and photographs locations around the world, with a primary focus on editorial, lifestyle, family, art, design, food, culture, and nature.
